Our Tenth Anniversary
The Sylvan Circle Tour artists invite you to spend a glorious fall day exploring the diverse artistry of our region. We welcome visitors to discover what it means for artists and artisans to live and work in their communities.
No matter where you are on our site, you can use the menu on the left side of the page to view a map of the tour (with information on which artists will be at each site) or more detail on each artist along with a sample of his/her work.
In addition, from this page you can access information on the many local sponsors who generously support the Sylvan Circle Tour.
The tour is self guided and absolutely free. Look for the Sylvan Circle signs. Click on "print" on the left side of the page to access a map and list of artists you may wish to take with you on the tour.
The complete tour is approximately 100 kilometres long and is held in community halls and studios along a circle route including Echo Bay, Leeburn, Rydal Bank, Bruce Station, Bruce Mines, Desbarats, and Laird.
Each year more than forty artists and artisans participate in the tour, exhibiting a wide range of types of work. This year, with the addition of the Desbarats Arena as a tour site, the tour is larger than ever. In addition, a number of the exhibitors demonstrate during the day, and local groups provide food and drink at a number of the tour sites.
NOTE: Many of our artists do not accept credit cards. We recommend you bring cheques if you prefer not to carry cash.
